Representative Council elections 2025
The Representative Council, consisting of 60 elected representatives, is the top decision-maker in the Student Union of the University of Helsinki (HYY). It decides on all actions of the Student Union, such as the budget and political goals.
By voting or standing as a candidate in the Representative Council elections, you can infuence what sort of things HYY advocates for, how UniCafe is developed, and what kind of services the student union offers to its members.
Vote in the elections
The Representative Council elections will take place on 15–17 October and 20–22 October 2025. All students are eligible to vote. You can vote online on vaalit.hyy.fi, on voting days from 9am to 8pm.
